Bicycle Trips
Meran/Merano is the ideal starting point for bicycle trips and outings of all levels of difficulty. Our hotel can lend you complimentary mountain-bikes, and is located at the start of the 20-km-long Merano-Passiria bicycle path, which extends gently along the shores of the babbling Passer.
The Bike&Bahn (bike & rail) service may be just the thing for you.
With the new Vinschgau/Venosta railway, you can travel comfortably to Mals (70 km away). There, you can disembark and begin pedalling along one of the most-beautiful Alpine bike paths – the "Via Claudia Augusta" – through the Vinschgau / Val Venosta. Bicycles can be obtained or returned at seven different train stations.
