Tappeinerweg (Walkway)
The Tappeinerweg is perhaps the best-known walkway of Meran.
It can be reached very easily from the hotel via the Gilf Promenade and extends at an elevation of 380 meters above sea-level parallel to the city's east-west axis, along the Küchelberg. It has a total length of 4 km and can be completed in 1 ½ hours at an easy pace.
It is an especially pleasant walk in the springtime and autumn because its location between downtown Meran/Merano and Gratsch/Quarazze is very protected against the weather. The area is rich in exotic and sub-tropical plants.
