St Nicholas Parish Church

St George Parish Church
This late Gothic church is situated in Via Cavour/Cavourstraße in Maia Alta / Obermais, only a few metres from our Hotel Bavaria. Because of its beautiful gate and the many frescos, St George is one of the most popular churches in Merano / Meran.
This Evangelic-Lutheran church is situated on the Passiria/Passer promenade and was built between 1883 and 1884 in Neo-Gothic style. The service is held in German language.

The Russion Orthodox church of Merano / Meran is situated in the Via Schaffer / Schafferstraße in Maia Alta / Obermais and is one of the churches in Merano / Meran, which can be easily reached by foot from Hotel Bavaria. The church was recently renovated and also offers a library.
